The American Corporate Media invests billions of dollars and employs an army to deceive Americans about anything that is important.
Whether it’s labeling the latest narrative as “news” or pushing fake polls to convince Americans that they are the only ones who hold their inconvenient opinions, the Corporate Media serves up a 24/7 menu of Media Mush.
What is Media Mush?
It’s the collection of lies, scripts, deception, disinformation, distractions, propaganda, programming, fairy tales, mind control, memes and media narratives that is served up to consumers of American Corporate Media.
MUSH. noun \ˈˈmu̇sh\
a : weak sentimentality : drivel
b : mawkish amorousness
Media mush is what Americans swallow every time they pick up a newspaper; every time they turn on a TV; every time they listen to the radio; every time they see a billboard; every time they take in a movie; every time they watch a professional sporting event.
In the motion picture The Matrix, one of the characters explains what the Matrix is. It is a good explanation for the deception that surrounds us. It is an accurate definition of Media Mush.
“The Matrix is everywhere. It is all around us. Even now, in this very room. You can see it when you look out your window or when you turn on your television. You can feel it when you go to work… when you go to church… when you pay your taxes. It is the world that has been pulled over your eyes to blind you from the truth.”
What truth?
“That you are a slave, Neo. Like everyone else you were born into bondage. Born into a prison that you cannot smell or taste or touch. A prison for your mind.”
That’s the movie script.
In 2013 America, the Corporate Media serves up Media Mush to present Americans with an alternate reality. Many Americans believe that what they see on TV or their SmartPhones is reality.
It is not.
It is an alternate reality, manufactured for them by the Corporate Media.

HOW TO UNPLUG
The reader may be asking: How does one ‘unplug’ from the alternate reality created by the Corporate Media?
If one is REALLY interested in walking in the truth, there are a few things that must be done. Whether a person actually does these things is different than thinking “I will do these things.”
1- Disengage from the Corporate Media.
This is harder than it might first appear.
Disengaging from the Corporate Media begins with shutting off the television. All television. Many Americans will find that this seemingly simple act is beyond them.
But, this needs to be done. Shut off the television. Unplug it. Not just “cable TV” but ALL television. It is all deceptive. The commercials are deceptive. The “news” it sells is deceptive. The programs are one big, self-reinforcing system of lies.
Shut off your cellphone/SmartPhone. The harder this is to do, the more important it becomes that you MUST do it. It is part of the Alternate Reality that is deceiving you.
Turn off your radio or CD/mp3 player when in your car. Disengage from radio; whether it is talk radio, so-called “Christian radio” or music radio. ALL are part of the problem. If you argue that they aren’t, this proves that you’re already deceived.
Stop watching movies, DVDs or Internet videos. ALL are loaded with multiple layers of deception.
This is a start.
Unplugging from the programmed Corporate Media will give one time to spend alone with one’s thoughts. IF that seems “boring” or scary, then it’s needs to be done immediately.
It’s important to spend time with oneself; time WITHOUT distractions. As hard as it may seem, this may be the most difficult part: learning to spend time alone.
PLUG INTO THE TRUTH
Begin to read a Bible.
Some may instantly shrink back from this notion. Start with Proverbs or Psalms. Learn what has been important to mankind for the 5900 years before mass media started thinking for him. Discover what YOU think about important concepts, not what someone else has told you is important.
This is the start. This is the beginning.
This is the way to end Media Mush’s control over your life.
